The purpose of this study is to provide a sociological explanation for the occurrence of violent crimes at macro level. In this regard, by designing a consolidated theory, the recognition of the causal mechanism of the occurrence of the result was considered. The study method was a qualitative comparative approach and was usedfrom fuzzy logic approach. The results of the necessary and sufficient conditions indicated that the conditions of rule of law, unemployment, economic opportunity, and government efficiency alone are sufficient conditions for the outcome. The absence of the two conditions of economic equality and job opportunity, among the negative set of cases, illustrates the theoretical and empirical importance of these two conditions in explaining macro-level violence. In the combined causality, the final equation of the present study showed that The combination of conditions economic opportunity, relational capital, democracy, government accountability, government efficiency, rule of law and cultural opportunity have high explanatory power over the outcome. And this claim holds true for both positive and negative (ie, countries where violence is low and countries where violence is high). The important point to note is that economic equality is not necessarily associated with the outcome in all cases. Probably, with effective structural adjustment, economic inequality does not necessarily lead to violent crimes. Therefore, the result largely depends on the combination of factors.
