AbstractBecause of importance of altruism in social relationships and its positive functions on social systems, extended researchs have been conducted in this area. Some of these researchs have investigatedrelationships between gender to the altruism. General and acceptable assumption is that altruistic behaviorsof men and women are different and this difference is due to gender roles. This research has attempted toinvestigate gendered differences in altruistic behaviors concerning gender roles in yasouj city. Researchmethod is cross-sectional survey and statistical society is all of individuals aged 15 through 65 in which 386subjects were selected by means of Random multi ‐ stage sampling. Measurment tool is a questionnaire ,that construct validity through Factor analysis has been used for determination of the validity and thereliability was measured by means of cronbach alpha coefficient. Research findings show gendereddifferences don’t impact on altruistic behaviors. In addition to there is no significant relationship betweengender roles to altruistic behaviors.

AbstractReviewing history of human thought, there are two different realities talked about: observable andnon-observable. Abrahamian religious thinkers referring to revelation, talk about non-observable realityand its relationship with observable reality. These materials were mixed with superstitious in such a waythat European thinkers preferred just to rely on experience and talk about observable reality afterRenascence. So, secularism appeared as a value and experimental sciences became the sign of wisdomand a reliable reference for the life. New sciences with positivistic viewpoint became a good referencefor industrialization and modernism. Meanwhile sociology improved as a substitute for religion's socialfunctions. As modernism improved and expanded, these sciences with all their outcomes spread all overthe world. In our country, especially higher education, improved in this tradition. This research seeks tofind the impact of these studies on the religious attitude of students and compare Sociology's affect withother fields influence in this respect. Also this research would likes to examine some backgroundvariables effect on religious status of the students. This is a survey, longitudinal and a comparative study.Questionnaire is our tool for data gathering from Shiraz University and Shiraz Medical Universitystudents in different fields of study. Results, analyzed with SPSS software, shows that medical studies, agricultural sciences and sociology have the most negative affect on religious attitude of students. Thosewho are studying Humanities are the list influenced students, but any how all secular fields have theirown impacts. Our findings show that the only field that students left university with more religiousattitudes in regard of what they had at the entrance are Architecture students.

Socialparticipation means individuals' mental and emotional attachment to the group condition for the accessinggroups' commitment to the work. This study is exploratory in nature and data has been collected byquestionnaires from 385 through sampling method. To explain the effective factors on social participation, the theories of weber, Durkhiem, homens, parsons, maccleland, siemel and bernschtain were used and finally parsons theoretical of model was appliedfor this study. The result of the research showed that, the effective factors on social participation are education, maritalstatus, social status, occupation, membership of social organization, public services contentment andParticipating in elections. The result of multi – variant analysis showed that the independent variables whichare significant in this study are about 52 percent at the variances in the dependent variables could beexplained, and taking participate in election has more effect than the other variables.
AbstractThis study has been performed by quantitative approach, survey method, and questionnaire technique. The theoretical framework has been synthesized from Maslow's theory of hierarchical needs, and humanecological-systems theory. Based on the main concepts of the theories, and regarding the populationcharacteristics, some indicators have been extracted. Data have been collected from 400 samples, calculatedby Cochran' formulae, residing in Birjand city at the age of 15-65 years old with multistage cluster samplingmethod. Our basic assumption is that the intensity and direction of Quality of Life is subjective-objectiveand in turn, it is influenced and determined by subjective-objective factors. On this basis, by SPSS programand statistics such as analysis of variance and univariate regression, the relationships between Quality ofLife and nine independent variables were analyzed. These variables include: social origin, employmentposition, level of education, occupational rating, level of income, benefitting from networks of socialsupport, socialization manner in family, using mass media, and modern/traditional attitudes. The resultsshow that all of these nine relationships have been significant and positive. Additionally, in multivariateregression the five variables –level of education, socialization manner in family, level of using mass media, level of benefitting from social support networks, and occupational rating— have been included in theequation, and they have collectively explained 44 percent of variances of dependent variable.
