This study examines the relationship between media consumption and family cohesion, with reflexivity as a mediating factor among married women in Shiraz, Iran. The theoretical framework integrates Cultivation Theory, the Uses and Gratifications approach, Giddens’s theory of reflexivity, and Olson’s Circumplex Model of family cohesion. Using a survey method and multistage cluster sampling, data were collected from 407 married women through a researcher-designed questionnaire. The data were analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression. The findings indicate that media consumption patterns, particularly engagement with social media content, have a positive and significant association with family cohesion. Reflexivity also showed a positive effect by facilitating the reconfiguration of family relationships, whereas exposure to transnational media content was negatively associated with family cohesion. In addition, income and education emerged as significant predictors. The final model explained 21.1% of the variance in family cohesion. Overall, the findings suggest that media influence on family life is contingent upon both content type and reflexive interpretive processes
